Announcing the Chicago Strategy Seminar — June 25
Registration closes Thursday, June 18 at 7:00 PM Eastern
Over the past several months, our community has become something larger than a Substack.
Last month, twenty-five members of our community gathered in Washington for the first Strategy Seminar. The response afterward was overwhelming. Many participants told me it was unlike anything they had attended before.
So we are doing it again – in Chicago.
This is now becoming a regular in-person series.
The Chicago Strategy Seminar
How the Next Phase of the Iran War Will Evolve
Thursday, June 25
1:00 PM–3:00 PM
The Arts Club of Chicago
201 East Ontario Street
Chicago, Illinois
The timing could not be more important.
The reported U.S.-Iran agreement has not ended the war. It has opened an entirely new phase. Nine days from now, we should know much more about whether the current deal represents the beginning of peace—or merely an intermission before renewed escalation.
This briefing will focus on the deeper frameworks for the Iran war and beyond, including:
• the next phase of the Iran War;
• indicators separating a temporary pause from a genuine end to the conflict;
• the changing balance of power in the Middle East;
• and the broader transformation now occurring in world politics.
The session will include slides, maps, historical comparisons, and substantial time for discussion and Q&A. For those who wish, I am glad to continue the conversation afterward more informally.
Seating Is Limited
Attendance is intentionally limited to 25 people.
The Washington seminar filled quickly and generated a wait list.
Priority for admission:
Founding Members;
Paid subscribers;
Free subscribers if seats remain available.
There is no additional charge. Wine, soft drinks, and refreshments will be provided.

Attendance confirmations will be sent Thursday evening.
Submitting the form does not guarantee admission. A wait list will be maintained. Those living outside the Chicago area must provide their own travel.
My hope is to continue building the Strategy Seminar into a serious community of people interested in escalation, great-power politics, and preventing the next generation of strategic disasters.
I hope you will join us.
